Cookie Policy

Last updated: October 9, 2026

This page explains which cookies and similar browser-storage technologies creator-guard.com uses, what they do, and how you control them. The short version: the site works without tracking cookies — Google and Meta tools only run if you click “Accept all” in our banner.

Want to change your choice? You can do that here at any time.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. We also use browser storage (localStorage / sessionStorage), which works similarly. Both let a site remember things between pages — from your language choice to, with your consent, advertising measurement.

2. Essential — always active

These make the site work and store no marketing data. They cannot be switched off because the site would not function without them.

NameProviderPurposeDuration
cg-consentCreator GuardRemembers your cookie choice so we do not ask again (kept in your browser’s localStorage, not as a cookie)Until you clear or change it
cg-langCreator GuardCookie that remembers the site language you chose1 year
page/quiz session idCreator GuardRandom identifier linking the steps of one visit (first-party measurement, see below; kept in sessionStorage)Browser tab
cg-quiz-v2Creator GuardRemembers your progress in the matching quiz (the id of your saved request, your contact details, the current step and your answers) so you can continue after closing it (kept in sessionStorage)Browser tab
cg-teaser-dismissalsCreator GuardCounts how often you closed the quiz invitation, so it rests after the third time (kept in sessionStorage)Browser tab
cg-funnel-lead-sentCreator GuardRemembers that you already sent your contact details, so we do not invite you again (kept in localStorage)Until you clear it

creator-guard.com has no logins. The partner, agency and creator portals run on a separate site, app.creator-guard.com: when you sign in there, Supabase login cookies (sb-*-auth-token) keep you signed in until you sign out (at most 400 days). The portals set no analytics or marketing cookies.

3. Usage measurement (legitimate interest)

We measure how our pages and the quiz funnel are used (pages visited, time on page, scroll depth, quiz step reached) using a random session identifier that your browser forgets when you close the tab. The measurements themselves are stored per page view and quiz step in our own database (for how long: Privacy Policy, section 6). This data goes to our own database only — no advertising network is involved, no cross-site profile is built, and it is not used to identify you. We use it under our legitimate interest to improve the site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

We also count visits with Ahrefs Web Analytics. It sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser; what it receives and how long it can recognise a visitor is explained in our Privacy Policy (section 2 b).

4. Analytics & marketing — only with your consent

If you click “Accept all”, we load Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics 4, Google Ads conversion tracking and the Meta pixel. These set the following cookies and process usage data (including your IP address) in part on servers in the United States. If you decline, these scripts are never loaded.

NameProviderPurposeDuration
_ga, _ga_*Google AnalyticsVisitor statistics: which pages are used, where visitors come fromUp to 2 years
_gcl_auGoogle AdsMeasures whether our ads led to a quiz submission (conversion tracking)~90 days
_fbpMeta (Facebook)Measures our Meta ad campaigns and builds ad audiences~90 days

We use Google Consent Mode v2: until you consent, all Google storage signals are set to “denied”. You can additionally opt out directly with the providers: Google Analytics opt-out and Meta ad preferences.

5. Managing cookies in your browser

Every browser lets you view, delete and block cookies and site data (usually under Settings → Privacy). Note that deleting our storage also removes your consent choice and language preference, so the banner will appear again on your next visit.
